WED & THURS

the pictures are of course some of the ranch and the other one is the putting up of the beams that are in the house...

the ranch was just wonderful such a peaceful setting...way up on a "hill" for here tucked back in the woods nestled in a very private place...we had to go thru 2 locked gates before arriving at the house...WOW waht a house..it had a bunk house--guest house-and the main house...all wonderfully decorated in western motif...great host/hostess...se had ham for dinner with alot of other stuff included..the whole board of habitat for mason country were there ...the night sky was just beatuiful and would have been better if the house lights were out..we have been invited back some night if the time allows to see th sky with NO lights...

the house is really coming along...there are 2 huge heavy beams that go in the living room and yesterday (thurs) wasthe day they went in...now tell me would our electric company volunteer to come with one of their boom trucks and help raise and put in them...i say NO...but the local electric came and put them in...what a great back saver and time well spent....this is a good bunch of people to be working with ..the house isreally coming along and the site supervisor and also the team leaders are impredded with how much is getting done...we have cnaged our working schedule...it really gets hot in the afternoon so we are starting a half hr earlier...at 8 instead of 8:30..then we will be out earlier ahah...today lar and i are taking an ectended lunch and going to the museum...it has been suggested by the team leaders that those who want to to it cause it is only opened certain days...so why not take advantage of it....

  1. Why Tracy, It looks like you are having a wonderful build. Maybe they would let our group come too. We could build two houses at once. Go play for two weeks and then come back and finish them.
