GETTING READY

now that CHRISTMAS is over we can think about getting the "rig" packed to go south...we had a lovely Christmas dinner with friends and then a trip up north to visit lisa and family--all's good--rain on the trip north and on sunday the sun was out so the trip back was uneventful--we took a swing to hamilton to visit lar's brother and family then on home...we had cat duty for a few days (cat duty was checking in on the barriere cats while they were away visiting their children)..
yesterday a day trip back to falconer to visit lar;'s mom and sister-brother before the trip south..we were as tad concerned about the weather but it all turned out ok..even dry roads returning...

i have things piled up all over the house and notes of things to remember to pack...clotes also in piles and boxes and baskets filled and ready to unpack when i get in the rig...i will start tomorrow putting in things we don't have to worry will freeze then this weekend do the food...we also are keeping a close watch on the weather sure don't want to drive into a really big snow storm like they got in virginia a couple of weeks ago....

no pictures today as there hasn't been one taken...

2010 starts soon and lets just hope a pray that it is a good year for all...so HAPPY NEW YEAR to those that we wouldn't be seeing and may the new year bring you joy and prosperity.....

DINNER

as you can see lar is gettingready to put dinner in the pot...lobster you say yep!!! on sat night we went to a christmas party where the gift exhange is probally one that most of you have done a fun way to exhange gifts..you get a card or number and when the card is drawn you get to pick a gift from a pile or steal one rom someone else..well larry stole the lobster and ended up with it so it was sunday's dinner..surf and turf..mmmmm good..

now for mitch last year my sister made him his own quilt and on these cold days night i just can't resist to cover him up...he likes it..in front of the wood stove and he is all comfy cozy..what better life for a dog..well last night when lar took him for his nightly walk he took off and about an hr later he returned..we figrued he found himself a gut pile to eat...so this morning he didn't eat his breakfast and we had 7:30 dentist appt..then we had a couple of errands to do well by the time we got home wew found 5 piles of stuff in the house..(it is not like him to do that so he must have really had to barf)...he is now spending most of his day laying around and going to the door to go out...hope you are all ready for christmas and santa..we are...I THINK

BIRDS

oh what fun it is to watch the birds...yesterday at the feeders we saw 8 cardinals 5 males and 3 females..what a pretty sight to see the red feeding on the ground with the new snow...we usually see cardinals but i can't remember when we have had so many and with all the other birds it seems like every other day i have to go fill the feeders and the suet cakes..we have 1 red bellied woodpecker and aren't sure where it's mate is unless he/she doesn't have one but there is always only 1...

yesterday we went on a senior trip..in syracuse here is a big display of lights around Onondaga lake which is over 2 miles long (glad we aren't paying the electric bill)..anyway after that we went to a restaurant that was have a mystery dinner dhow...it was fun but we just aren't used to eating dinner at 8:30pm when that is just about our bed time...guess we have to let are hair down once in awhile ahahah..hoe who ever is reading this is ready for CHRISTMAS and that their holiday be happy and joyous...

20 MINUTES TO GO

now let me tell you about yesterday afternoon...we were having kinda a slow day so i suggested why don't we play some cards and play the new card game my brother and his wife taught us in hawaii..so we did..lar won the first game and i was winning the second when he said quietly DON'T MOVE!!!!! and be quiet..so i looked out the dining room window cause i knew why i hadto be quiet..there were at least 4 deer under the apple tree..i started to get up to go to the bedroom to see if there were more in the back yard again lar told me NOT TO MOVE so i didnt.. several days ag o moved the screen of one of the windows up -as pre plan i'd say--up goes the window about an inch or so just enough for the gun barrel to go thru the window...he waits (i'm quiet) for one of the bigger ones to get in his sights she does bang she jumps and two take off..lar asks me which way did she go i said down the hill...the two that went as far as the clothes line came back so he decided to shoot another one --bang she jumps and away she goes...

lar gets kinda dressed but not in all his hunting clothes he just throws on his hunting coat by this time the snow is coming down heavy almost hard enough so it is hard to see...out he goes finds the first one in the neighbors field he marks it then takes off after the other one he shot..he looks and looks and figures that he just might have to wait till today cause it is snowing sso hard that there are NO tracks and the blood spots have been covered up..so he starts back to the house ajnd almost trips over it..time to clean it and drag it back to the house..then he comes he and recruits me to go help him...off to the neighbors field we go and by this time it is dark and still snowing..good thin he marked the deer as it was all covered with snow and hard to see or find unless you knew exactly where it was..so i help clean out that one and drag it back to the house..lar calls the butcher and asks can he bring over 2..load them up and take a ride we did all this with cause lar had 20 MINUTES TO GO before legal sunset and the days hunt was over...

COLD

it is down right cold out today..maybe it is also because we haven't had it cold in some time..but it got down to 22 last night in the front of th house...

yesterday lar went out hunting before church and didn't see anything but got cold..then he came in off to church we went followed by a dish-to-pass luncheon after which we stayed to help decorate the church for CHRISTMAS..to helpo us get in the mood for celebrating ...came home and did a few projects around the house..around 4:15 or so i looked out the dining room window and told lar to come look...there under the apple tree were 4 deer so i went to the bedroom to get a better look at the whole back yard and there was another one of those 4 legged animals ..he just couldn't stand looking at them so on he put a pair of boots grabbed a coat and of course his gun...quietly out the front door he went..a minute or two later i heard a shot..oh my i said to myslef another one for the freezer...NO he missed and made a trench in the mud..the season ends on sunday at sunset so he has a few more days of chasing them around the back 40..

today is an inside day..of fto exercise and a ppot of soup is on the wood stove for later...all's well---flowers to help keep you thinking of spring and summer the warmer months...

???RECORD DEER

yesterday i tried to upload pictures of our friends deer but i think too many people were shopping on line and it just didn't go ...so i am trying again today..some of you may have seen this picture already but i'm putting it on the blog anyway..this deer was shot about 1/4 mile from our house by our very good friend roy..the biggest deer he ever shot. and to think his son tyler shot an 8 pt opening day which was the biggest he had ever shot --i guess there was some competition in their house ahahha...roy's was a 12 pt and he is going to get it measured so it can go in the state record book...

now for lar he still has only gotten the one opening day and it out in the woods right ..i just heard 3 shots in a place where he told me he was going so who knows it could be a neighbor--i'll just have to wait to see if we have to make a trip to the butcher...we won't starve regardless this winter--we won't be home ahahah...

some snow has been falling but not enough to cover the ground yet...

QUIET HOUSE

now that thanksgiving is over the house is quiet...we had 38 for dinner on thursday . and believe it or not everything was done and ready on time...the only thing i forgot was the cranberry sauce so i had to come to the house to get it...not a problem to do that i just didn't remember to take it to the barn...

the guys got up to hunt every morning NO deer were gotten or even seen..for some reason they are doing a great job of hiding and only coming out at night to eat..that we know cause there are still apples that are falling and they get eaten at night..and the ones in the woods are also gone..

back to thanksgiving ..all my family were here except a couple of neices and their families and a nephew--so the barn was full with almost standing room only..and i think a good time was had by all..

now it is time to think of the next holiday (i must say 99% of my shopping has been bought wrapped and given)..i did all this cause who knows about the weather and if i had it done it would also save on sending thru the mail or ups..now less hope the g/kids and lisa wait till the 25..on each box is a big note that says DO NOT OPEN TILL DEC 25TH..can they pay attention and not open them --remains to be seen...oh well if they do open them up that's all there will be from us..right now our plan is to go up north for christmas but not on the 25 as lisa kids will spend it with their dad in PA then come north i think on the 27th when we will head up for a couple of days then it will be back home to ready the rig for the trip south-then west...

no real snow around here yet..

HUNT

lar has been busy these last few days cleaning game...on friday he went on a goose hunt with a nephew-his son-and tyler a good friend who has just returned from iraq..they were successful goose hunting they each got one..so we have some goose in the freezer..then yesterday was the opening of deer season around here...lar was up and out before sunrise to get settled in HIS spot...then he waited and waited for the deer to come his way ..as you can see he scored..a nice big 4 pt that is already at the butchers getting cut up...hopefully tomorrow monday we will be wrapping it...lar is out there again this morning as he still has more permits to fill and a freezer...good thing grocery stores sell turkey as NO wild turkey this fall for lar...he had seen some and shot only once at one but they just seem to know what he was doing in the woods and stayed away from him...

FAMILY

it has been a week or so since i last posted something on our blog so i guess it is about time...

this past weekend we went back to visit with lar's family..his brother doug and his wife iris came in from louisville, ky so the group met in falconer..there was also a death in the family an aunt that was 96 so included with the visit was a funeral ..so i gues it was a dual purpose viist..it was good to see everyone but sure didn't get a chance to say more than hi to lots of the c ousins..

after the cousins left the saulsgivers had a renuion..lots to eat (of course) and a good time was had by all i think..

it was a very long day as we were up and on the road by 6am (stopped for breakfast) and didn't get back to the homestead till around 9-9:30 pm..but it was worth it to see all and be together..

now it is time to think TURKEY as it is just around the corner..2 turkeys have been bought and are in the freezer..now i need to cook the squash-make pies-CLEAN HOUSE-and as most of you know do whatever needs to be done and cooked..

it is now that busy time of the year--but can you believe that we have 99% of our Christmas shopping done and wrapped!!!!!! i wanted to get it done and brought back with us to falconer so i didn't have to mail the gifts--and for my side they will be here for thanksgiving so why not get those done also..the grandkids from pa will be here again sure didn't want to put the packages in the mail so why not...all that helps get us motivated to GET-ER-DONE...so NO worries about thinking i'll never get it all done and run out of time..now i will have time on my hands between holidays hahahahah...as most of you know something always comes up..i don't think i'll be bored...

the pictures included are of LARRY and his sibs --the other one is of course his sibs and their spouses

WEATHER

blessings to the weather

i don't know where you are if the weather is like ours but we have some wonderful weather...this weekend was sunny and yesterday we were working outside in short sleeves...can you believe even mowed the lawn..my main purpose was to chop up the leaves but decided that the lawn really did need a mowing...

the wood stove has gone out and i don't think we will need to start it up for a week if the forecast stands like the weather man told us this morning...(but you can never trust those weather men)..today will be more outside chores (after my exercise class)..maybe go out in the woods and check on our posted signs..the deer season opens up on the 21st and we like to have our property posted in place ..hopefully to keep those who aren't neighbors away ahhaha...we aren't really sure if it helps as on sat lar was out turkey hunting and he saw a person out back and did not know who it was ..i think they had noticed lar and kept gong as they knew they were on posted property..not that it is any really big deal but during deer season lar likes to know who might be there ..so he can tell family where to go --to hunt and not have to worry about others...poop mitch gets walked on a leash by me during the season as i don't want him taking off on lar's trail..he does not chase deer so that isn't a worry..also if lar has dragged one down to the barn mitch will get on that trail to see where it goes and rolls in the parts that lar leaves in the woods...

so go enjoy the day..

OVER

now that the local election is over maybe life in our house can get back to normal..(what ever that is?????)...but due to some republicans sending of some very negative flyers just before the elections it goes on and on and on .....phone calls coming and and going out--e-mails flying around like airplanes in the sky (wonder why they don't all bump into each other up there)...so i guess we don't know what normal is yet...come on january!!!!!!

NO turkeys in this house so far this year but as lar says he still has a few more days before the season closes....snow on the ground this morning but just in a few spots..wood stove is going and feeling good...mitch spends many an hour in front of it warming up ahhaha with his coat i'd think he toast but he likes to stay in front of it...

time to really think about thanksgiving and what needs to get done and not done...for the most part i do think we are pretty much under control haha....just waiting for the birds to go on sale....

BOOOOOOO

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!today it the last day of oct and again where did this month go too...i sure don't know..i look at our book and i can see that almost everyday in oct we had something scheduled..may just an hr activity but something...i thought retirement was suppose to be relaxing ahahhaah..

now that nov is tomorrow it is time to really think of thanksgiving and keep watch in the papers for turkey sales.(there no wild ones in this house yet)..i just went out and there was a deer eating apples so hopefully there will be fresh venison for the freezer but sure don't want to count deer till they are hung up and on their way to the butcher...

also don't forget to go vote on tues nov 3..and may the right person win in the position that are running for...here in enfield it is crazy especially since lar got involved in the republican committee...my thinking is that is it almost time to get out of town..way to much going on..there is some negative comments and that is one thing lar is trying to do away with..now whay can't people just work together for the betterment of the town rather than be and each other throats...i sure don't know but i guess that has been going on since there were parties..and not the beer drinking kind but political ones...so just a few more days then we will find out who is going to run the town for another 2 yrs...lets hope for the right ones...

just about 2 mths and it will be time to hook up the rig and drive out of town heading south..amen somedays i'm ready and then there are others that i think will i ever be ready..need to get thru thanksgiving first then think about heading south...

WET AND WINDY

here it is saturday and it is wet and windy again!!!..lar is off with sam on a duck hunt and he says the weather is just great maybe for the ducks but not for the rest of us..

last night we went to the local high school football game..ithaca has had it's frist winning season in many years and it is good to see them win instead of leaving at half time due to the score..they even are in the state playoffs--so hopefully they can make it thru the first round of play..it was a typical night for football..wet-windy-rain-etc but we of course dressed for it and stayed dry and warm..like a boy scout we went prepared..even met another couple there whose son played while in school and is now in college..

leaves-apples-nuts are really falling now due to the wind and wet..there is probally a couple of bushels under the apple tree that need to be picked up but right now they will have to wait till it drys out a bit..more food on the ground for the deer to come and eat and fatten up for the hunting season..we have seen a couple of rubs on the trees out in the woods..still NO turkeys in the house..the other day we had to go have some blood work early in the morning right after sunrise and guess what as we were going up the hill don't you know there were a few turkeys that crossed the road right in front of us..go figure...and their tails were up saying ahahhaha gotcha.....

thanksgiving is just around the corner and will be here before we know it..one nice day this past week (we haven't had too many of them ) we decided that we ought to wash the barn floor..so we opened the doors and got the hose and spent a couple of hrs getting things off the floor so we could hose it down and scrub it..that job done we can now think of other things to do...the list for some reason never seems to get completed wonder why..

COLD

this morning is the coldest it has been all fall so far..it got down to 25 and a heavy frost on the ground...glad we have everything out of the garden..

yesterday after church we hitched up the tractor and went to the woods to get a final load off fire wood..this one is not for the house but to have a bon-fire at thanksgiving..(hope it isn't in the middle of a snow storm)...the last few years at turkey time we have had one and the kids seem to enjoy it..something different..not to many people have them this time of year unless you are in the south...

lar is out again in the woods looking for turkeys..he sure wonders where they have all gone as we were seeing so many before the season started--must be they know and are hiding..still seeing lots of deer came and eat the fallen apples and pears..mostly does but that is ok...

another busy week is ahead of us-with banquets-meetings-meetings-meetings..it seems like the meetings have increased now that lar got himself elected to the republican committee but that he knew when he decided to run now that he won he has more meetings to attend that he likes..oh then there is a fun raiser this weekend called a spaghetti dinner which he has to help out at..(oh i guess i do also-make a pie or 2)...

so life goes on here at 464 enfield ctr rd...

WOKE-UP

ok this is what we woke up this morning....the ground covered with the white stuff called snow...we are hearingthat it is the earliest snow on record and i say that that might be for this area but severalyears ago we were camping with my family and we got up to more snow on oct 4th..everything was covered but we still had a good time camping and that was when we were in a pop-up..

this morning it is a pretty snow the trees are really laden with the white stuff as the leaves are still on most of the trees..in some areas the power lines are down but for us right now we are ok...the bow hunting season opens up tomorrow so they will be happy if it sticks on the ground --i'm not so sure as i think i heard rain for tomorrow but then it could be snow depending on where you live the higher above sea level the more snow etc...

this is just a late fall or early snow storm..and they are calling this one a nor'easter..wonder how many more the area will get this winter...

all i can say is keep on enjoying fall

COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND

so off we headed to Ives run in pa for the weekend with a hardy group of our friends for a weekend of fun and relaxing...we had planned to do some biking but it was wet-cold-windy-cold-wet (you get the picture we wimped out of that) so we did do a wee bit of hiking and sightseeing..some of the hills/mountains were just bright with color and on the other side of the hill was dull..on sunday we took a train ride thru the tioga valley which was fun but we would have liked it if

it were a bit longer..of course we had lots to eat lots of laughter and just good to be away from the phone and jobs that needed done..as most of you know they would still be here till we got back...now it is time to empty the rig of all can-glass-liquid-stuff so we can put it to bed till january...lar has already winterized it as when we got home the forecast has been for freezing temps and maybe snow tomorrow--we sure don't want to water pipes to freeze so we have another thing to worry about..all in all it was a fun trip..ENJOY FALL--i'am still waiting for indian summer..where is it???????

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

1ST HARVEST

these are hazelnuts from our trees..we planted 3 of them a few years ago and this is the first we have harvested any nuts from them..i wanted to pick them before the squirrels and other wild creatures got them..so hopefully one of these days we will crack and eat them...

the apples trees are loaded with apples but they sure aren't any good like some years..they are all scabby-small-and not appealing to the eye so i'm not sure what i'll be using them for...we have picked up maybe 10 bushels that have fallen and taken to the woods for the deer and other wild things to eat and enjoy...the deer do come down under the trees and eat but we just need to get them picked up when i mow the lawn

it sure isn't too fall feeling around here..rainy and cool--we haven even started up the wood stove to take the chill and dampness off the house...

HUNT

this is what lar and mitch did last weekend..off they went goose hunting and i was left home..oh i could have gone if i wanted too but i decided to stay in bed getting up at 4am didn't appeal to me in the lest little bit..now if it was to go get on an airplane to go some where then i could have done that...

lar got a goose a day so he is putting some food in the freezer for winter..not that there isn't any in the freezer now..

several neighbors keep telling lar that when we were gone there was several bucks eating apples under our trees..and does..so coming deer season maybe one will find it's way to the freezer...

HARVEST

monday was a nice day so we dug our potatoes and and picked our winter squash..we were surprised at some of the sizes of the potaotes 2 potatoes would feed a family of more or more..or better yet there are paul bunyan ones...he could eat a whole one just by himself

then on the the squash and i'm not sure how many we harvested but a bunch and this year was a bumper crop.. so we will be eating alot of squash which we both do like...

the tomatoes did ok but in are area there was a late blight which did alot of our friends tomatoes in and there was NO harvest but we are eating them..i didn't plant enough to can as we were going to be away when i should have been doing that but just to go out and pick a freah one of the vine to eat is good enough for me...

FINALLY

well larry is now a happy camper yesterday was the first he has had a chance to get out goose hunting and it was his birthday so i guess that was his present and he even got one..now he and mitch are even out again today and can you believe yesterday's goose is in the crockpot for dinner today..

now for me i've spent thurs and and fri baking for the harvest festival here in our community..cakes for the cake wheel that the auxiliary runs and the money goes to the community council for kid programs and also for the senior bake sale at the festival..then i spent most of the day helping with the cake wheel and it was a perfect fall day..could have been cold and rainy but the sun was out and nice which also helps bring out the people to come buy stuff..

then in the evening we went to a neighbor's pig roast that he has every year to celebrate his birthday--he also raises pigs so he picks out the best to butcher and roast...so it has been a busy saturday and today will also be..talked to lisa this morning and she said there ground is covered with FROST ugh..they are a bit north of us near the canadian border so they would get it way before we would..they live in the area of ny that gets the most snow..lucky them hahahah...

leaves are beginning to turn some so it won;'t be long that are hill sides will be full of color..

MORE

first there is a picture of the eight of us in a town called hawi...we found this great big tree and all of us could not ring the tree it was so huge...the there are the swim beauties hahaha oe of our days on the beach and after we all bought sorong's at the farmer's market..good deal...

things have been busy since we have gotten back and lar and i look at each other and say want to go away..we both say yes but i guess we won't yet not till columbus day weekend....we attend the funeral of a dear friend and neighbor yesterday and today lar says we need a new lawn mower..i guess that last stump i hit really did it in..but it has
been ready to replace for a few years ..it is just that larry is just such a good fix-it guy that finally he says enough is enough..so soon we will go shopping..we will need one before the mowing season is over as that lawn needs it now...

the garden is still producing and we have been eating tomatoes every day and sometimes twice a day...winter squash looks like we ought to have enough for us to enjoy...garlic done well and there more than enough for the season..our pear tree only has 2 pears on it so we will both get to eat one...grapes not so good--4 filberts on one of the trees...all in all the garden has paid for itself but the fruit trees not so good...

TOGETHER

first there were six of us in honolulu and of course what did we do the most but "EAT"..this was our first meal together..my 2 sister and there husbands and lar and i met in honolulu so we could do pearl harbour and the beach at wikiki along with lots of other stuff like diamond head-the pineapple farm-gardens-watching all the other tourists and there were lots of them..spent time swimming at the pool and also the ocean.....
then we moved on the the BIG ISLAND where my brother dan and his wife met us there for the real family vacation...christeen-me-dan-sylvina...we had rented a condo near kona.. that was the home base and from there we did many things..as some of you have been there you know what there is to do but one of my things from 'MY BUCKET LIST" was to get as many national parks stamps that i could get in hawaii and i ended up with 10 so i was happy.....we spent lots of time snorkeling-eating-talking-traveling around the island -hiking-volcano's-watching turtles-just enjoying being together...
after sylvina and dan left there were just four of us left chris and sam lar and i then we continued exploring the big island some more as we moved to hawi for three days after which we moved on to the hilo area...there will be more about hilo at a later day and maybe even some more pictures...

POLITICS

can you believe that lar is getting involved in politics??? just one more volunteer thing to do...in our small town the republicians have been running things their way or wanting to anyway...and it is about time they took a look at the town and did something for the town instead of their own agendas...so there is a coup going on to over run the already excisting republician party and form another one..so lar is running to be on the committee in our district..he has spent many an hour painting theese signs (oh i've helped a wee bit) and we have gone to many meeting to get things going...as we have heard that in tompkins there has never been one party trying to get rid of people in that party this way...so i guess someone has to be first...the signs have got to be up before we leave due to the primary is a coupe of days after we return and there just wouldn't be enough time for the signs to be up and people to see them...

CONCERT IN THE PARK

what better way to end a weekend than go to one of the parks in our area for a concert..so that is what a bunch of our friends and of course we will included to go and do -it was just a perfect night for it to sit by the lake great summer temps and of course with a good group of friends ...the group that sang was kinda a cross between blue grass and zydeco so was some interesting music..althou i must say we spent alot of time visiting and catching up on what has been happening in the neighborhood (which isn't much )...friday over to my brother s for dinner and last minute talk about going to hawaii--we are all getting excited..but there was a mishap..my sister chris was going into the house tripped and fell hurting her knee..ice was put on it rather soon but in the middle of the night she went off to the ER as it really hurt--nothing broken but she is in a leg brace and need to go see another dr..an orthopedic type..sure hope it isn't anything serious and lets hope she will get rid of the brace before we go to hawaii that is in 1 /12 weeks....

2 MORE WEEKS

2 more weeks and we are on our way to hawaii!!! it just doesn't seem possible after all the planning -checking on line-making reservations-etc but the most important is that we all did decide on where to go and when...i have started laying stuff out on our spare bed..as i think of something i try to remember to put it there....garden is growing good eating zucchini everyday and giving it a way all from 3 plants...potatoes mmmm good...peppers-found a couple of almost red tomatoes yesterday (we thought we might have had that late blight but now i don't think so)..the lawn is growing like it is spring no brown dry spots yet..seattle is breaking all time highs and we are breaking the wettest july on record...so i will be ready for some nice weather ..oh i know it does rain in hawaii but it will be different...hope you all are enjoying your summer as we are...

NOTHING SPECIAL

there's hasn't been anything special going on at 464 this week...everyday there has been rain in the forecast so we haven't planned any big outside chores just waiting for it to rain..so far only a few sprinkles now and then but not enough to dampen anything we have been doing...we have had someone here cleaning up our computers and ordering more memory for the lap-top which has been slow lately..(hope it speeds it up)...thinking more of what we need or want to pack for hawaii..(getting closer)...this weekend is the fireman's picnic which is always a good time ..lots of good food-beer (if you drink it)-the firemen make a water slide on the hill for the kids big or small ones..which is always a big hit--lar and i don't go on it as it is just on the ground with some heavy duty plastic --i just don't think our bodies could take it we sure would be black and blue all over...we need some padding hahaha...so that's it in a nut shell for this week at 464...

RENUION WEEKEND

this past weekend we went back to jamestown for lar's mother's side of the family for a reunion...it is the one that last for several days and have a parade...this year i was one of the judges along with a couple of other in-law cousins...lots of food and laughter was had by all...most of lar's family attended only one brother and his wife that live in ky did not make the trip...

the garden has been growing and we are eating a wee bit of stuff from it --it isn't producing as much as we would like --the zucchini is starting and hope to dig some fresh new dug potatoes...so all's well around here ..

getting ready to go to hawaii by trying to get caught up with projects around here..not sure if they will all be completed ahahhaah...NO way says lar...
