MISSIONS

yesterday was spent having our tries cahgne on the rig..lar decided that i might be a good idea to replace them all so he called discount tires and made arrangements to have it done...we also moved from a partial hookup to a full hookup...so we are now all set for a few more days..

then it was time to go to lunch and what did we decide to have bu mexican found a good place and it was mmmm good..enough lunch so we all decided to skip dinner...

anyway after lunch we went to sigh see one of the misssions her in san antonio...we now have only 4 more to go...we had planned on doing another one but just ran out of time so we will visit more of them today after some errands are done...

temps are on the cold side no snow but in northern texas snow has been flying around..;ife is good

SAN ANTONIO

we left round rock around 10 yesterday morning because we wanted the traffic to lessen up some around  austin...i must say it sure wasn't light ...compares to going around atlanta ugh..

we made it thru in fine shape watching the crazies drive I-35..how they can do that every day is beyond me..

took the turn to go to lakeland air force base to meet up with tony and caroling who were already there...both of us hear a pot and looked  at each other and said was that us..yep...a flat tire on the passengers side...there was a parking lot very nearf by so lar nursed it to the lot and i called AAA to come change it for us ..we pay for the service so why not sure them...

tony and caroline came to the parking to watch the activities of changing the tire which the 2 men that came were right out of the back woods entertainingg watching them go about their business..

so today we found a place to get a new tire so the morning and part of the afternoon taken up by that adventure that done now lar has to decided if he wants to tat he rig there and have them replace the other 3 as he was thinking of having that done when we got home...so we may end up with all new tires..

had a great visit in round rock meeting up with new layne and even babysitting her while mom and dad went out on a datte..

sun is out today so we have windows opened and walking around without a jacket..

ROUND ROCK

here we are in round rock and as yu know one of the things that las wanted/needed to do was to get round rock donuts...so that was yesterday adventure...

then off the matt and lindsey for the day..matt had some work to do so we just hung out for a bit then took an adventure to costcofor some shopping and lunch...back to the rig around 8 or so...

the winds we high all night so we really know we are in texas with the winds..

today helping out with projects around the house..

TEXAS

here we are in round rock for a few days...visitng with the new great niece who was born dec 23.....

but first we had to spend some time at a rv repair shop getting a new shear pin in the other front jack..now that that is fixed we sure hope that it dosen't happen again...

ALABAMA

we have enjoyed our time here in alabama...done biking and it seems like lots of it..have tried to bike at least every other day unless it has been raining and that was last week..

we even spent a day building here n foley  the habitat is building a 6 bedroom house  for a family of 8 kids...so a house is needed for them...an intersting build...a lady was  the supervisor and is wired ...she needs a good dose of ritalin ahhahaha...

yesterday we went into mobile and see some sights....started at the fort  which is located right in the middle of the city and is over the tunnel that goes under mobile bay...after visiting the fort we went tho the history museum which was right across  the street and what a wonderful museum it is...first we saw a big room full of doll houses that one man build not sure if anyone ever played with them but in southern style they were big... and very precise...then at 2 we took a tour of the city which we fond morre interesting and now we know that there is much more to see and do in mobile so we may have to come back another year to go do more..

on monday we stat heading towards texas but first we need to stop at a rv repair shop for some more warranty work...never seems to end...glad it is still under warranty...first  the tv need to be replaced...lar wants  them to look at the front jacks--and also the wires on the slides..

...oh temps this morning was 31 but our pipes did not freeze...this weekend we are off to a couple of mardi gras parades... and we don't really need any more beads but if we catch some we will just add to our collection......

FOLEY, AL

we are in foley for a couple of weeks and the first fews days here have been cold--rainy--windy so we had to find activities to do inside...one was to go see the movie american sniper sure was a eye opener and to think this is stuff that happens now..now tell me why can't people just get along!! then yesterday we went into foley to visit a couple of museums...one was the model train right in town which was most interesting...yes the model trains also l-l-s-l...then it was off the the medical museum..which brought back memories to me...

on one more thing  lar is now a happy camper...guess why???

BACK HOME

 ourr caretaker  roy took these pictures of what it looks like back home......where we are it is raining and hard suppose to all day so we may go to the movies..

TRAVEL DAY

we didn't have to leave last night campground very early as we only had less  than 100 miles to go  in alabama where we had reservations for the next  2 weeks..so it was a leisure morning...we drove thru some very heavy rain but lucky for us it had stopped by the time we got to the campground so we didn't have to get set up in the rain...now it will be time to check the local tv stations so lar can watch the super bowl...oh i will also watch it....

first we had to stop at the farm market for some veggies and also some fruit...so it was not fruit we bought to take with us but to put in the stomachs...peach cobbler for lunch..
some of you know where we had lunch and it was mmmmmm good...not what i would want  to eat it  every day but it was good...oh i would eat it often but it sure wouldn't be good for me...

now all set up and go seattle..
