VISITORS

lar and i had been talking about not seeing any deer in the back yard since opening day..oh we know some ahd been there at night because the fallen apples had been eaten we had just not seen any...yesterday at breakfast i looked out the dining room window and said to lar i think there are a couple deer out back ..sure enough there was a couple of good size does..then in the afternoon i happened to walk into the dining room and there were a couple more that were almost on the back porch...just grazing..so we watched them for awhile but by the time i got the camera they had wonder away up the hill so my pictures was not an up close one..so lar knows that he didn't get them all during the huntings season...

yesterday we started to get the rig ready for travel..i started by packing the clothes i want to hold off on the food till sat or sunday so we don't have to keep the furncas going day and night in ordcer that the canned food dosen't freeze...our plan right now is to pull out of here on tues after all has been done to get the house ready for winter...the water pipes have to be drained and the toilets and sinks filled with antifreeze...there just seems to be a list of last minute things to do..have checked out the weather for several of the cities we know that we go thru and it looks like the weather ought be be ok maybe rain..but didn't hear or see the word snow or ice which is not good...

today last minute clothes packing and non freezing things in the rig..

so you all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR may it be a great one...

CHRISTMAS DAY

it is a couple of days after CHRISTMAS and we have returned back home to a quiet house...lisa's was not so quiet 3 teenagers around sure make it hectic..and we could just sit back and laugh and remember those days... glad i have already been there done that...lar made breakfast with john and mellissa on christmas day and it was a good one...andy and lisa cooked the dinner and we had a turkey and they also cooked a ham all was delicious..

we stayed at the holiday inn where lisa works she got us a deal so we just decided with 3 teenagers in the house it might be nice to get a good nights sleep..besides we weren't invited to stay for a pajama party which they were going to have...stay up all night and watch movies and eat [popcron and what ever else they could find to eat..all in all we had a good visit with the family..

today most of the north east is socked in a blizzard...for us we have some snow but most of it is being blown around as the winds are 30--40 miles per hr and that also makes it cold...so the wood stove is of course on and there is a pot of soup also cooking away..what else on a cold--snowy--windy--wintery day...way to cold to go out and play in it...

later this week it is suppose to warm up a tad so that is when i'll start packing up the rig as we plan on leaving for florida the 3-4-5 of jan..depending on the forecast...not so much here but the route we take sure don't want to get caught in any kinda of unkind weather along the way..but then i guess we can just pull over and be comfy...

SPARE TIME

first what spare time do we have !!! must be some cause now we are volunteering at WONDERFUL WHEELCHAIRS...A friend and a couple of other saw a need to repair wheelchairs for who ever needs one..sso they arrange to use some space in a local nursing home in return WW would repair their wheelchairs for nothing...so right now larry is going every wed from 9-11:30 then they go out to lunch and i have only been a couple of times so far..it happens to be the same day as my exercise class so i may just go every other week so i can still get some exercise ahahah....just can't seem to do everything not enough time in a day or even night...it is a small group that is doing the repairs but what also needs to happen they need to sell some of the repaired ones and maybe once the word gets out about the available wheelchairs more will be sold...medicare pays for those seniors in need so the market has to be other than medicare patients..some dr's offices has bought one or two..most of them seem to have them already..

christmas is creeping upon us but for the most part i think i am ready if not too bad...better luck next year...we will be heading north on friday and returning onsunday the nit will be time to zero in on getting the rig ready for travel...we would like to be on the road before the 5th but of course it also depends on the weather which really is the big factor in all the planning...sure don't want to drive in a blizzard or snow storm...

OUR LITTLE CHRISTMAS TREE

A few years ago our good friends roy and carol gave us this little wooden christmas tree for christmas and we have enjoyed it ever since...we go up to our daughters for the holidays and right after we leave to go south so we haven't gone to the trouble of cutting a real tree to put in the house to decorate...soooo this has been our tree...this is the first year we decided to put some ornaments on it and we think it is just right for us...don't have to water it nor sweep up the needles it drops on the floor...we just hope santa can find it if he decided to comoe our way...

we hope you all are ready for christmas we are...

so we want to wish every one who reads our blog A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR GOD BLESS

BACK YARD

what does a person do when they are sitting ast the dining room table at our house...look out the window at all the wildlife...this squirrel has been fun to watch climb around eating out of the bird feeeders and his determation to get at the best seeds in the feeder...then we have the tufted titmice who just seem to love the suet along with the chickadees and the woodpeckers...

today is the last day of 2010 deer hunting and of course lar just left to go take the gun for a walk another traditation he says being the last day...and it is rainig out (we didn't seem to get the ice -sleet yet)--i can remember one year on the last day and he hadn't gotten one yet he went out in the same kinda of weather and it wasn't long before he was back and he had scored with a buck...now if it were me i think i would have just stayed in the house where it was warm and dry..

last night was the annual firemen's banquet and a good time was had by all...lots of good food-drink (lots if you wanted) and dance...the ones who have been taking line dance lessons had the dj play lots of our kind of music so we all dance up a storm...some of us can hardly move this morning ahhaha...anyway it was a fun time..then this morning we returned to the fire house to help clean up and got the job done in less than an hour...many hands make light work...

so now it will be football and crocheting for me...

HE'S DONE

up and attum this morning lar's off to go have breakfast with roy and tyler then they of course are goingto go hunting...for me i'm up and out of the house by 6:10am on my way to have breakfast with my group who have been dong this every other week for 15 yrs..we have been going to friendly's most of the time..most of uys are retired but there is a couple that aren't and some of them only show up when school in off...

well anyway lar says he'll be home by noon...for me after breakfast i go do some grocery shopping and a visit to k-mart and wally world..just to see what they might have that i really need..get home take care of the purchases and then decided it is time to do my e-mail...and in walks the hunter i say your early are you cold??
no he says..then you are home early..yep he says but guess what ??? oh i know the answer he got another deer so i ask is it a buck or doe??? big or small??? he says good size...see for yourselves..this makes a total of 4 he has gotten this year and we gave one away...so the freezer will be full of vension so i guess we won't go hungry...NO more i say we don't have room for any more...sunday is the last day of the season and guess what after we go help go clean-up at the fire station on sun (the annual banquet is sat night) more than likely we get home he will change into his hunting and take his gun for a walk...TRADITION he says ...so ends another deer hunting season...

STORE

now if you look close at the store you'll wonder WHY i even went into it..not my kinds of store for shopping but i did really go in... NO i did not buy anything i only looked around...this weekend we had larry's brother dan and his wife carol over for a hunt/visit...so on sat after the boys had come in for coffee and the sun came out carol and i decided to go do some shopping --she is a QUILTER and i said there is this store in ithaca that is rated one of the top best quilt stores in the country (now you wonder why i should even know that..well when our friends were here from wisconsin--chris is a BIG TIME QUILTER told me about it and we tried to get there but ran out of time)...carol's eyes lite up and a big smile came over her face so i knew she wanted to go...so we did...after abut an hr in the store and carol's credit cards were maxed out we left with a car load of material/fabric/rags or what ever you call that stuff...we went on to do more shopping--next stop was michaels and i bought some more yard for another shawl...

i had put a pot of chilli in the crock pot in the morning and dinner was ready so we tried something new i made cornmeal waffles and we had the chilli on tiop of the waffles it was good and i will probally do that again...

all in all a good visit/weekend but NO deers--they are still running around out back and still coming to eat the apples when it is dark...

SHAWL

yes I made that!!!!! go figure...our church has a mission shawl group and they make shawl for those who have been sick-just need a wee bit of a pick me up- or who ever the group thinks needs some warmth and love...

i haven't crocheted in maybe 15-20 yrs and thought i can do that again and it would give me something to do while watching tv (football games)...so a couple iof weeks agao i talked to one of th group about patterns and was given a couple...so when we got home i went to my box of yarn (yep i still had some it dosen't spoil) and i thought i had enough to tackle a shawl..so i read and read the directions several times and said to myself i can do this...so i started...ripped it out several times and then began to think NO way do i remember how to do this...but i continued to try and low and behold it started to come together and look like something....i know that there are probally mistakes in it but i didn't see them and took it to church this morning to give to the ladies in charge of the mission..and can you believe i have now even started on a second one...

so i guess it is not too late to pick up something you might have done many years ago and start doing it again...i just thought while traveling around maybe i could crochet while riding (not sure as i do get nauseated while reading) and do something worthwhile...it will be worth a try..if not while riding i can work on it while watching tv in the evening unless something else is going on...maybe even around a camp fire....

so this has been my sunday thing tpo do while watching football...(also the rest of the week in the evening..

so it is now time to go to some more on the second one...it is sunday and football will be on soon...

THANKSGIVING

our day started off like most thanksgiving days...lar up and out early for the hunt (oh NO deer) and for me it was time to get up and tend to the turkey...made the stuffing/dressing-and all the others food that goes with the dinner...by then it s time for a shower and change clothes...friends started to arrive around 1:30 give or take some time..one of the different things about yesterday was that we ate in the house and didn't go out to the barn like we have for many years (oh i don't even remember when we started that)...we had only 8 extras for dinner and with us there were 10....

so another thanksgiving dinner has been prepared and eaten now for the leftovers (which i like better)...so it is also time to start to think about next year but first i guess we have to enjoy christmas and go SOUTH for the winter before -planning thanksgiving it is a whole year away...so why rush it ahahha...

some of you may have gotten up early to go shopping and find the best deals on what ever you are looking for but for me i stayed in bed...sure don't want to fight the crowds and i don't think anything is on sale that we have to have..haha besides i don't really know what is on sale to even know if i need/want it...

celebrating thanksgiving gives us a chance to be thankful for family-friends-and all the rest ...getting up in the morning i say thank you to god that i am able to enjoy another day and what ever it has in store for me...so get on with the day and be thankful

OPENING DAY 2010

yesterday was opening day of deer season here in NY...our old dear friends fom the norht country came down like they ahve for several years...up and out early in the morning they went (me i stayed in bed to keep the home fires going hahaha)...back in for lunch at noon...so lunch was had and off they went again..i then went to my project of crocheting (yes christine that is what i said crocheting!!!!!)--( i am working on a shawl for the missions at church)...anyway as i was in the living room doing my thing and in comes larry huffing and puffing...i ask what's the matter and he says it is a long story...so i knew something was up...he then starts to tell me the story that he saw this deer that was struggling to walk and another deer was with it so he thought that he ought to put the injured one down so he shot only to find out that he hit the wrong deer...and then had to find the other one to shoot it so it wasn't suffering any more...so now he has 2 deer --oh they were legal as he had tags for them both...it was decided to give one of them to our friendsso they could have some meat to take home...

off to the butcher we went after they wer cleaned up a bit...

this morning ellie decided to sleep in and as we were enjoying a quiet breakfast we saw 4 deer in the back yard...we both could have gotten our guns and shot at them but we didn't want to..figured we let the men do that

i guess we won't starve the winter as there will be some vension in the freezer and the season is young and there are still tags to be filled...

SAD NEWS

yesterday our house was not very happy..as some of you know we lost a good friend and family member..his name was MITCH...he and larry did there regular thing the night before and that was to take a walk before bed time...he did his usuall thing of chasing the deer out of the back yard then they continued on there way out for him to do his nightly poop...which he did by going down into the hedge row --sometimes he likes to take a wee bit longer and he sniffs then follows what ever it is and decided to come back to the house later...we just wait the extra 1/2 or so while he does his own thing...but the night before he must have decided to take a different route as he didn't come back..we both got up several times in the night to let him he but he still wasn't back by morning...we both had an awful feeling that something was a wrong cause it just wasn't like him not to come back......well it was...lar found him by the side of the road apparently he had been hit by a vehicle..NO ONE stopped to let us know and he had a name tag on him...at least we now know what had happened to him and why he didn't come back home...he is now back home buried up above the house near the pond overlooking the property....mitch was a great friend and family member he just fit right into our schedule--he never asked for a thing and was happy when he got a reward of a bisquit-bone-toy and even just a pat on the top of his head...hw will be missed ..

so now we start another chapter in our lives with the hopes that the void will be filled

CLEANING HOUSE

yesterday it was raining out and i didn't really have anything on the schedule clear so i thought why not clean house..i needed to vacuum up most of mitch's dog hair...after breakfast i started by getting out the vacuum and started with our bedroom then the bathroom..then of course the phone rings i don't really remember who it was but after a 1/2 hr it was time to go back to vacuuming...then conversation which took about another hr or more but it was good seeing him as we had stopped to day before and no one was home...

about this time it is time for lunch so we partook of that chore filling our bellies...back to the vacuum-mop-broom i went...got the kitchen taked care of and the floor mopped about then it was 2pm...time to think about getting dinner in the oven..so the vacuum just stood still for awhile...while i put dinner together as we wanted to eat around 4:30 (we needed to watch a movie before lar went to the fire house for the monthly meeting)..now the movie was a waste of time in my opinion "The book of eli" don't recommend it...

anyway back to the vacuum and still i'm not even half way thru the house..oh well i guess i might just finish it another day..

i do wonder why i takes more than one day to finish a job/chore...way too many distractions ahahah..and i think i'm getting older and can't do as much as i once used to ahahahah...i think it is the distractions...but life is good and we are happy and that's all that counts today...

so today is another day of rain but i have other things to do rather than finish cleaning the house it can wait for another day ...

FIRST SNOW

ok this is what we got up to this morning...snow on the ground!!!! but i guess it is nov 1st so it is about time we got some...

;last night our group visited roy and carol for a surprise retirement/lay off party..roy is now retired but first he had to be laid off so we were just celebrating it all...what better night than halloween to do it..of course we all went in costume and brought just the right snacks to share for the occasion...when we were on our way out last night it started to snow and it was the nice big flakes but had stopped by the time we went home...but this morning there was snow on the ground...oh it won't last long..

things around here are in the getting ready for the winter weather to set in..trying to get all outside jobs/chores caught up --like drain the hose to the barn-leaves and more leaves taken care of--plant some last minute grass seed-and of course the list goes on and on..just when we thing it might be done one of us thinks of another thing that needs to be done..

lar has done some duck/goose hunting but not as much as he would like to be doing..4 turkeys have gotten in the freezer and alreay eaten-3 geese so far..we are also watching several deer some to the scrub pear tree and fill their tummy with pears...we have seen a couple of bucks and a doe with 2 teenagers with her...have heard of only one neighbor who has gotten a doe with his bow but the season is young...

so i guess things are in a normal fashion here in enfield..and it won't be long before we have to load up the rig to head south...we are tryingto dfecide where we want to go after we finish the build in mason , tx--maybe colorado and visit some more national parks before heading back east...and back to the old grind again..sure is a circle..

NFB

NFB now i bet you wonder what the means or stands ffor...the old truck was refered to as big fella so when you get a new truck it is refered to as the NEW BIG FELLA so that is where the NFB comes from...

lar got it about 2 weeks ago and it has had work done on it already...oh my work you say..the work was to have running boards put on it cause it is higher than the old truck and we both were having fun getting into it ahhaha..(the old one also had running boards on it) also a bed liner put in to help keep scratches of of it...then yesterday it made a trip to syracuse to have the old 5th wheel hitch put in it...a 3 hr job took about 5...good thing we had lisa come down...lisa was off so we asked her if she wanted to come to syracuse to meeet us and we would take her out to lunch..the appointment was for 9am and she got there about 9:15 or so...off we went to do some shopping...we like to go to sam's club while in syracuse as we don't have one here in ithaca and also we like to go to the liquor stotre to get a supply of wine sheaper then here in ithaca..had lunch then on to the christmas tree shop as lisa wanted to go as she had never been in one...by then it was back to the rv dealer to see if it was done..not done so off we went to gander mountain for an hr or so...by then we sent lisa home thinking the truck ought to be done soon...it was about 1/2/ hr later..so we all had a good day with lisa and the hitch is in the truck so we are about ready to take off...ahhahnot yet..deer season has to come and go first..

now for me in the last couple of weeks i have been knee deep in grapes and apples..i have made 4 batches of grape jelly and starting to make apple sauce as i have already dryed some apples...the deer just aren't eating them fast enough...it appears that peanut butter-jelly and applesauce will get us thru the winter...

no hard frost as of yet but it is on it's way (here at 464 anyway)..snow flurries in the air today...so i guess that kinda wraps it up why i haven't blog in awhile...

BUSY-BUSY-BUSY

yesterday was a busy day...started off with stopping at buttermilk state park tpo see the falls..and they our tom and christine admiring them...after we took a tour of ithaca college then headed to cornell where we drove around the campus--then on to the plantations where we took a hike around one of the ponds...walked around the campus listen to the chimes-went to the johnson museum-ithaca falls-where does a person go to lunch in ithaca...where else but the ithaca bakery a good lunch-then on to sapsucker woods and did all that we could there --didn't take a hike as we wanted to get to taughnannock falls and take the hike in to see the falls when the sun would be just right..haha we were surprised the trail was closed due to all the heavy rain we had had and there had been a mud slide and the trail hadn't been cleared yet...so off we went to the top of the falls overlook to see them...another beautiful view of the falls...after which we returned home to leftovers and ended the day with a bon-fire..

tom and christine left this morning around 9am and are heading to the north east to become leaf peepers..christine's plan is to get more stamps some of which i have and she will get more than i have gotten...their goal is to finish up being in all 50 states..

good friends-and a fun time was had by all

ps...for some reason i'm having trouble posting pictures so i will send the posting and try pictures later...

VISITORS

our friends from NO where arrived on monday...from NO where you ask we'll i'll let you know...they are now full timers and haven't picked a state to be from so they are just from the good old USA...or NO where yet...

they brought with them rain and more rain...on monday afternoon we just caught up on all that has been going on in our lives since we last saw each other in wisconsin this spring...of course they home is with them all the time so they can go home even in a wal-mart...

yesterday we took a ride around the lakes cayuga and seneca lake and of course o9ne of our first stops was the women's hall of fame so we could both get our stamps..yep christine is one of us a national park stamp collector...we also worked on a junior ranger badge and did all the requirements and recieved the badges...we stopped at the amich market saunders and lar bought his favorite lunch stuff...ring bologna and parker house rolls..then we headed to sampson state park by then it wasn't raining so we found a dry place and had a picnic lunch...as soon as we got back in the car it started to rain again..

off we headed down seneca lake but first we had to find a winery to stop at cause it was time for some liquid refreshment...hazlit was the choice..after our samples

we landed in watkins glen..found a quilt store for christine to go in and fondle some fabric--she was good and only bought a couple of small patterns (tom says they have to watch the wieght in the rig)--the across the street to the famous brands store wher lar bought some dog walking boots and socks--tom a couple of golf shirts..then it was time to head

for home...i had planned on vension for dinner which we all enjoyed if i must say so...a couple iof games of cribbage--tom and lar won the first one and chris and i won the second

lar and i had a couple of appointments so tom and christine held the fort down..chris was in charge of cooking dinner (spelled good when we walked in the door) and tom put in a sliding rack in their rig (lar had an extra one )..

tomorrow the plan is to take them around ithaca and show the sights...

GRANDKIDS

we just returned from a pleasant 2 hr breakfast with our PA g/kids....we went to a perkins and were glad we arrived when we did ...because when we left maybe an hr and half later there must have been 30-40 people waiting to get in...but we were just enjoying ourselves so we ate talked and drank coffee...all three seem to be doing fine...mellissa has to do her homework thou...but hat is not uncommon for teenagers...

john says he is all set to go into the army and has signed on the dotted line leaving at the end of june 2011..and he seems excited abut it now he knows he has to graduate so he is buckling down..between school and his job at wendys he will be busy...says he got a good semester report...acarl is now in charge of the kitchen at the nursing home where he works but his hrs at 1pm--9pm so he puts in some long days...so it seems that all is well with the pa g/kids...it was good seeing them..we had seen mellissa in july but hadn't seen the boys in some tome carl the longest as he did come for thanksgiving last year but carl we think it has been since his graduation...carl is gong to be 22--john is 18 and mellissa will be a teen ager at 14..so time flies and they just seem to grown up fast...

life and grandkids are good...

PICTURES FLIGHT 93

OK I'M GOING TO TRY TO PUT SOOME PICTURE OF FLIGHT 93 ON THE BLOG...we are in a better wi-fi campground and i hope they go...yesterday was a perfect fall day..but guess what we didn't do much to enjoy it...left one campground drove for 4 hrs then set up camp again..today we are going to go take three of our g/kids out to breakfast...they are lisa's three who live here in pa..it has been awhile since we have seen them all together..we of course saw mellissa this summer when she was visiting lisa for the month but haven't seen the boys...so it ought to be interesting catching up with them...carl is working (graduated several yrs ago) --john is a senior in high school (planning on going in the army) and mellissa is a freshman...

2 MORE NATIONAL PARKS

yesterday found us going to 2 more nationa; parks the first one was the johnstown flood back in 1889..where a dam broke and took 2,2009 people with it...there had bee warnings but the residents just didn't listen or the line of communicaton was't like is it today--none the less the warning were't listened to...the flood wiped out sevferal small towns along the way but the most famous town was johnstown...heard the history of the place..

then several miles away was the alleghany trail portage park..we knew nothing about the place but soon found more about it..it was started as a canal across pa. designed after our famous erie canal..but in pa there are the alleghany mts which needed to be crossed..so some smart person said lets bring the canal bpats so far then put them on a train to take them over the mts which they did..it was quite a feat to do...then when it was finally finished and some boats were taken up and over the mts with rope and the rope broke on some of the boats --again someone said why not use chain so they did for awhile..in the mean time there was someone else making bigger and better trains so instead of the boats gong along the canal then up and over the mts by train it was decided to use oly train..so the canal boats in pa were out of business...oh well progress is our most important product so we think...anyway again most interesting and we spent 2 1/2 hrs...oh i even got another junior ranger patch..so i'm happy...

SOBERING EXPERIENCE

We decided to change our travel route and not sure what it was to begin with anyway but the new one found us heading to the flight 93 memorial in shanksville, pa...what an sobering experience it sure was...we can relate to it like the viet nam memorial-oklahoma federal building..anyway you get the picture...the government is in the process of building a hugs memorial for those who lost their lives saving many others...to look out to see where the plane crashed and why didn't it go several more miles and crash into homes and building no one ever will know..

we talked to a lady who has the park surround her property and wasn't able to return home for 2 weeks after the crash was most interesting to talk to..the whole area lives sure have been changed forver...and we can say that we were lucky and the good lord was watching out for us..

i also got a stamp there...

we are in a campgropund with very poor wi-fi so i am not going to try to add any pictures so maybe when we get home i will...

BEREA, KY

we spent the day touring around berea, ky...it is an arts and crafts community that has a college in the middle of it...the students can attend without paying any tutition but of course have to qualifty...their income has to be in a certain range and also their grade average has to be in the top of their class a great deal for the students...there are several majors that they can take...but what is most interesting they also have to work in the crafts dept..learing woodworking-weaving-pottery-and also blacksmithing.....when they arrive for the freshmen year they are assigned a job and learn the craft...they have to pay for their room and board and that is also income based..the young lady who took us on the tour says she only has to pay 2,500 a year for her education...it is also engouraged that they travel abroad one of their semesters...there are only 1,600 students...and nice little campus and most interesting...

first we took the historical tour then the craft tour...each was free...berea seems to be a nice quiet town and has alot of history..it is just tucked away in kentucky...

moving on tomorrow and not sure where we will stop for the night...and who knows about wi-fi.....

WE'RE HERE

it has been some time since we've had some wi-fi but tonight we happen to be in a campground with it...as a matter of fact we are in berea, ky...it is an arts and crafts town and tomorrow we plan on going on a tour given by the college students...we have spent some time in dayton, ohio touring the wright brothers flying national parks..i even go more stamps along with a teddy bear...but the bear had to do with going to 6 out of 9 dayton ariplane places...and a cute little bear it is...

spent some time with pete and stehpanie in marysville, ohio school friend of lars...had a good visit and went to an old farm store that had about anything you might need or want..we did buy a couple of things but didn't have room for everything we needed hahahahaah...some of you might get their catalouge. LEHMAN"S BROS..

then on to anchorage, ky where we spent the weekend celebrating birthdays..lar's is the 19th and his brother doug was the 18th and he was turning 60 so he needed lar there to help celebrate it...and a fun time we all had...on sat doug and iris daughter karen and her childrens came over for a cookout...fun having kids around..lar even had a sword fight with a 10 yr old..not sure who won...olivia who is three was a cute as a button and most entertaining...then yesterday we went to william roger clark brother of lewis clark homestead and had a private tour (no one else was there at the time)..so it was longer than most..we got to go in the house which is normally locked and i must say i'm glad i don't have kour house painted nor wall paper form that period of time...not anything i liked..then on to ice cream for the birthday boys..

left this morning and headed south-north-west-east and ended up at a bourbon factory or distillery..this one made four roses and of course after the tour we got samples it was before noon so it just happened to be 5 o'clock somewhere so we had a taste or two...must say the more expensive was the better...not to worry it was really only a small taste not a whole shot...then on our way to berea..

that's where we are now...now i will back up to tell you about the trip to pete's...we left columbus after getting gas only to get on the interstate and oame to a complete stop..it then took us 3 hrs to go 14 miles..there was an accident ahead and the took us off the interstateand rerouted us..must say that is the worse we have been in any traffic tie-up...heard later that one of the truck drivers had died it was a truck loaded with paper and the firemen were having a heck of a time getting it out..

this is almost like traveling in july..it is hot...
